I have TRW but I think there is air in my front lines, my front pads are hardly worn while my rears are almost gone. My brakes are really sensitive and come on hard, which I like but it throws other people off. WebAug 12, 2024 · TRW ULTRA is the best. You will be satisfaites. OP, be prepared to get as many different recommendations as you do replies, if not more. I'd say if you like how the Akebono work on the front use them on the rear as well. I need to replace rear pads and rotors on my F30 and I am not sure which pads to get.

I have fitted the mtec grooved ones all round to my 2.2 and have no problems as yet over a few thousand miles but the standard mintex pads are not good at high temps. I have ebc yellowstuff pads which work a treat. I agree about the drilled discs - they can fatigue with many heat cycles.
